
Beach Haven Gardens is a section of Long Beach Township on the south end of the island, from Delaware Ave. (133rd St.) to South 27th St. This section of about eight blocks features a host of shops, restaurants, offices, and other attractions. Restaurants include Howard's, Woodie's, and California Grill. Southwick's Marina is located here, as well as Ocean Family Medical and our own office, Mancini Realty.

Brant Beach is one of the larger sections of Long Beach Township, on the south end of the island, from the southern edge of Ship Bottom at 31st St., south to Harrington Ave. (73rd St.). This section of over twenty blocks features shops, restaurants, and other retail and service establishments, along with the Long Beach Township Municipal Building, the Police Station, and the Brant Beach Yacht Club.

Haven Beach is a section of Long Beach Township on the south end of the island, from Virginia Ave. (110th St.) south to MacEvoy Lane (121st St.). Rose Court, Cottage Court, and Hideaway Bay are in Haven Beach. This section of about ten blocks features shops, restaurants, and other retail and service establishments.

High Bar Harbor is a residential section of Long Beach Township on the north end of the island, on Barnegat Bay. Originally a sedge island in the bay west of Barnegat Light, it was incorporated as part of Long Beach Township in 1916. In the 1940's, as a by-product of work done by the Army Corps of Engineers to protect Barnegat Inlet, a connection was established between the sedge island and the main island. A road was soon built to High Bar, and in the 1950's a network of streets and canals was developed. Today, about 400 homes, mostly waterfront, provide avid boaters with a summer refuge. The neighborhood also features a wildlife refuge and the High Bar Harbor Yacht Club.

Holgate is the southernmost section of Long Beach Township, at the southern end of the island. It runs from the Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge north to the border of the Borough of Beach Haven, which is between Osborne and Nelson Aves. It features 25 blocks or so of oceanfront homes along Long Beach Boulevard, and many bayside and bayfront homes. Holgate is also the site of several marinas, motels, and mobile home parks, along with a handful of small businesses and wide expanses of picturesque wetlands.

Loveladies is a residential section of Long Beach Township on the north end of the island, between the Boroughs of Harvey Cedars and Barnegat Light. This section is notable for its quiet atmosphere, private estates, and many bayside lagoons. The Long Beach Island Foundation for the Arts and Sciences is located here, the site of many events, classes and programs throughout the year.

Spray Beach is a section of Long Beach Township on the south end of the island, from South 26th St. to South 21st St. This section of about five blocks features the Spray Beach Yacht Club, the newly re-built Jewish Community Center, and the Dockside Diner. The Borough of Barnegat Light is located at the northern end of the island. It runs from the Barnegat Inlet south about 27 blocks to the border of Loveladies. Highlights of this historical area include the Barnegat Lighthouse and State Park, Viking Village (commercial fishing and shops), Kubel's Bar/Restaurant, and Mustache Bill's Diner. The U.S. Coast Guard also has a station here.

The Borough of Harvey Cedars is located on the north end of the island, between the Loveladies and North Beach sections of Long Beach Township. Sunset Park, on the south end of town, is the site of many sports events and summer concerts. The main commercial area features restaurants, including The Plantation and Harvey Cedars Shellfish Company, as well as other eateries, shops, and service establishments.

The Borough of Surf City is located just a few blocks north of the Causeway Bridge, and runs about 28 blocks, from S. 3rd St. to N. 24th St. The island is up to five blocks wide in much of Surf City, and a busy commercial district runs along the Boulevard here, with dozens of restaurants, shops, and other services and attractions. Popular eateries include ScoJo's, Subboagies, and Boulevard Clams. The Surf City Hotel hosts bands throughout the summer.

The Borough of Ship Bottom welcomes visitors to LBI as they drive off the Causeway Bridge onto the island. It occupies about 27 blocks, from Surf City to the Brant Beach section of Long Beach Township. Many restaurants, retailers, and other services dot the Boulevard throughout the town, including Joe Pops Shore Bar and Captain John's. Attractions include Hartland Golf and Waterfront Park, featuring a gazebo, playground, and boat ramp.

The Borough of Beach Haven is located on the south end of LBI, between the North Beach Haven and Holgate sections of Long Beach Township, from Twelfth St. south to Nelson Ave. The northern half of the town could be considered the unofficial center of both family-oriented amusements and the LBI bar scene, while the southern half is more of a quiet residential area. The island is up to six blocks wide throughout the Borough, and every type of accommodation is found here, from condos and hotels to B&B's and single family homes. Fantasy Island Amusement Park and Thundering Surf Water Park are here, along with the Little Egg Harbor Yacht Club and Bicentennial Park. The many restaurants and clubs include the Engleside, Tuckers, and Fred's Beach Haven Diner. And for many vacationers, no trip is complete without an afternoon of shopping at Schooner's Wharf.
